Agreed.

They trying to recreate a dynamic they stupidly allowed to be killed only 2 years ago. The show NEVER learns from its mistakes.

And, whilst I'm gonna give them a chance, I do think they've miscast the roles slightly. So far anyway.

They had a blazing row in the consent episode, then disappeared for weeks.

Then they had a "comedy" scene where Denise was complaining to Linda at one end of the bar about Kush. Then Kush was complaining to Mick about Denise at the other end of the bar.

Then Denise went on holiday for weeks.

Then she came back and just broke up with him, suddenly her being older was an issue etc.

Now, it's like they were never together and she's flirting with Mick and he's flirting with Habiba.

It's like they wanted to reset the characters without going to the effort of actually writing a story for it. As ever with EE the last few years, all important and interesting stuff happens off screen.

That's awful.

The thing is, there was always (in my opinion anyway) clear chemistry between both Karen and Mitch, and Denise and Kush - and they have just rubbished the potential of both by forcefully switching the dynamics in order to start afresh, in the most laziest of ways. I know Kate wanted to create new dynamics but bloody hell, be more subtle about it.

That's what I'm not liking the early signs of... no subtlety.

I mean, I know this is a soap and EE isn't exactly known for being subtle. But you have to strike a balance.

It's not as though the show doesn't have enough time to fill. It actually bugs me that the show is on so often but they often want to rush potential stories and developments so then later on we get weeks of sh*t as they struggle to fill the airtime.
