Jennifer Metcalfe has revealed that she chose to appear on Dancing On Ice in order to show people she is nothing like her Hollyoaks role.

Metcalfe has played Mercedes Fisher on the Channel 4 soap since 2006, a character who is known for her fiery temper and sharp tongue.

However, the actress claimed that she couldn't be more different to Mercedes and that her real personality will come across when she appears on the show next year.

"I'm totally different, and people will see that from the shows," she told DS. "I don't know if that's a good thing or not but they will see that I'm nothing like my character."

Team Jennifer Metcalfe!!!.

Metcalfe also confessed that another one of the reasons she signed up for the ITV show was to stop herself becoming complacent with starring on Hollyoaks.

"I get very comfortable playing Mercedes because I've played her for so long, it's just easy," she explained. "It was about shaking myself outside of my comfort zone a little bit and giving myself a new challenge."

Really looking forward to the Brendan vs Warren thing Brendan ftw

Am I the only one to find the guy playing the copper for every single storyline looks like a kid? He's not convincing at all.
About India's murder, wouldn't it have made more sense to kill Texas to develop India as a character as she's been there longer. And I don't like Texas lol. Unless the actress quit obviously.
