Edwards was suspended in July 2023 over allegations in The Sun newspaper of paying a young person for sexually explicit photos.

That's not really all that surprising as we hit 10% inflation within the last couple of years, and many people's contracted pay rises are linked to the previous year's ROI, which would result in a £40k raise at that salary level. I got a roughly 15% increase last year (I genuinely can't remember if it was last year or the year before actually, but anyway) which was an incremental increase + the 10% inflation bump. Granted, I wasn't on £430k beforehand .
