I mean *I guess* he probably played a decent enough social game that just happens to come across as slimy and inauthentic when televised, but the edit didn't really show us much of a tangible game? Like, the main attributes to his game that we saw were him making a **** ton of cheesy alliances that he would name in a lame effort to make Good TV, and then going on a scavenger hunt every third morning for a rehidden HII. And, again, I guess that coupled with being a str8 white dude is all it takes for you to win Survivor in 2018 and that's more of a reflection of the state of this show than anything else, but it's still sad to think about what the show has devolved into.

I don't know, it's the same thing as Adam winning MvGX where even if he deserved to win, the show and its fanbase are lauding his victory for the entirely wrong reasons.

Angelina telling Alison that she'd spearheaded the last 3 votes, when one of those votes was her and Carl getting blindsided. And her later idol plans. We're not worthy.

Mike begrudgingly looking for the clue with a wine glass in his hand.

Davie is genuinely one of the lovliest people that's been on this show in a while.

Final 5

Nick struggling to get himself to final 3 is soo tasty. I don't know what he thought would happen when the numbers were 5-5 and he willingly targeted the David's with Mike and Angelina. I get that he was mad and Gabby was pulling shenanigans, but I think things would have developed differently if Nick had taken the Davie approach to things, and just understand that Gabby shot her shot at somebody who was trying to exclude her from her own alliance. I think that if he'd been a bit more diplomatic about it, Gabby might've waited a little longer to get Christian out. But I guess it didn't really matter anyway.

Really did wish Kara and Nick had taken the chance to get Mike out. Kara said she didn't wanna give Angelina the satisfaction of playing an idol correctly, but it wasn't about playing the idol correctly it was about the spectacle. Angelina still got what she wanted when the jury saw Alison play her fake idol. Plus I low-key haven't liked Mike for quite a while. Ever since he made a comment about Carl and Davie not being smart enough to make a move, it left me feeling off about him. Really thought he'd bitched himself outta the game when he told Kara about Angelina's idol. Basically told Kara that Mike and Alison were Kara's only choices

Final 4

big ol lol at Angelina convincing herself that she persuaded Nick to take her when it was clear why Nick would wanna take her.

Also big kudos to the editing team giving Kara and Christian big enough edits to trick us into thinking one would win.

Final Tribal

Christian's "**** no" to Jeff. He's so bold now. Geez. Gross.

Angelina's answer to Gabby about how sometimes as a woman of color she feels like she overcompensates and sounds interviewy. Way. Too. Relatable.

Mike being able to answer questions so well and his recent track record in the game make me uncomfortable while watching.

Gabby crying over hard decisions. God this cast just can't stop delivering.

Only thing that woulda made this season better woulda been an Angelina win.

Also one final comment for Natalie.deity more seasons for her Kara Gabby and Angelina pls

I mean, I never really thought that she'd win, it just felt too obscure and I had a feeling about Nick from the early edit.

But, you have to admit that her and Mike's gameplay in the last few episodes, plus her social game. She most likely would have picked up more than a few votes. She probably would've had Mike Gaby Alison(?) and the brochachos. Idk it doesn't matter now lol.

Had this been any other season, I wouldn't have been surprised if she'd received the short end of the edit and got to the end without the audience knowing who she is.

a kinda disappointing ending but holy **** what a season <3 blindsides, balanced editing, great characters and plenty of really fun moments. It'll be a while til we get another season as good as this so I'm totally okay with Nick winning in the big picture.

Also, as awful as Mike was in the finale, him looking for an idol clue while clasping a glass of red wine was honestly sf hilarious

I have ADORED this season, but the ending just wasn't it.

In the run up to the 6th place vote-off, it was kinda obvious Davie was going... The Angelina hilarious idol search, and Alison's content made me believe they actually were in with a shot at winning? But OF COURSE Nick wins the next two immunities. I was also kinda turned off Angelina a tad at the fake idol?

But I mean, there was plenty of great content in the finale, the result just wasn't for me. Nick is possibly my least favourite of the season.

I can't appreciate enough how pioneers such as Angelina, Gabby and Alison have brought up a discussion about Survivor sexism

Then Nick talks about his mother's death from drugs at the final tribal and Davie and Angelina talk about themselves 'representing' people of race. Glad Mike made it to the end, I think he deserved to.

Mike played it really smart, and history with survivor has proven those who play it smart go far


we have an former athlete in the final in our survivor (he might've been voted out if he was too strong in the first days but he wasn't doing that, more clumsy in the challenges honestly and now he's really doing great in the challenges and also a great strategic player)
