Ignore me bud .. I was being facetious .

A while back every time a new case reported on the news they always seemed to mention that they had an underlying condition .. so we wouldn’t get to worried ..

Apologies, I’ve had another stressful day ..

48,682 cases but no death data yet

This lockdown is starting to work now, I don't know why there was so much panic about needing to bring in 'tougher measures' before they'd even been able to tell if cases were going down from the current restrictions

Because hospitals are filling up and deaths are averaging over 1000 a day.
Even on the government's 28 day only figures of deaths from diagnosis.

That ‘28 day’ stipulation does bother me somewhat ... so many die more than 28 fats after their positive test do the actual number of deaths could easily be 100,000+ .

Surely we should be being told of the ACTUAL number of deaths due to Covid ??

I know but it's not like you can put an immediate stop to that just with 'tougher measures' - there's always going to be a lag on any restrictions taking effect. These current ones seem to have just started to work ten days after the lockdown which is about the timeframe you'd expect so fingers crossed this is about the peak of hospital admissions

They also include all deaths after a positive test so some people could have a positive test, recover and then 27 days later get hit by a car and their death will be recorded as a Covid death

he's tested positive, he's not dead! Most (younger) people who die or get seriously ill have an underlying health condition... Everyone's chances of catching it are the same. No one has ever said that people with underlying health conditions are more likely to catch it.

We've been hoping that a long time MTVN.

Personally I think longer lockdowns of sorts were needed.
This stopping and starting hasn't helped things in my view.

The problem is too we don't have all the data the government has and gets from the science and health sources.
So they know obviously, the more fullest of the potential problems.

Like yourself though, I have my fingers crossed as to Hospital admissions
I think we're in difficult times for some time yet very sadly.
