some films can be quite racist too! it was stupid of him to use racist language from a film. maybe it exposes his true mentality on race as he felt at ease to use such racist language.

We have a shameful history of slavery and racism in this country, and many people alive today have been victims of racially motivated violence/assaults. I wouldn't go to the local synagogue, and start quoting Mein Kampf. Chill out Jews, I'm just quoting a book. I don't think Jay was intentionally being racist, but you don't get a free pass. |

You've got to be kidding, I can't believe that one line was turned into such a big deal.
Anyone who was offended by that better never watch any episode of Family Guy or South Park. Fair enough if BB was some family show but I can't see how that joke was so distasteful when you had Rebeckha talking about urinating on someone in the first episode. Besides that joke would be considered as a compliment to most. I remember a girl got a warning in BB Australia for a racist joke that was actually offensive. Also my opinion of Aaron has fallen after tonight's ''performance'' , he really is truly playing the game he said on opening night he would. Playing the game is fine but not at the expense of someone's reputation (Jay, yes I know his rep isn't great to begin with but still). Last edited by AusFan; 04-10-2011 at 08:42 AM. |

There are a lot of silly people willing to pretend they are offended just to try and protect their own favourite housemate its pretty retarded and quite disgusting really. Last edited by billy123; 04-10-2011 at 10:19 AM. |

![]() I have had this conversation with a black friend of mine this morning and the only thing he found offensive is people jumping on the racism button just to try and make someone look bad and also pissed off at the patronising attitude of some people that think black people need looking after like they cant defend themselves. |

Overly PC bull****, This isn't the American bible belt, We are supposed to have a sense of humour. It was a film quote FFS! Even if it was from a really crap film... by all means rip the piss out of him for having crap taste in movies but there was absolutely no call for all this pathetic drama.
As for aaron's reaction.... playing it up for sympathy is actualy more offensive IMO. Yet more game playing from the most pathetic and two-faced manipulative creep in there! Last edited by Raven; 04-10-2011 at 09:09 AM. |

I think it was for two things, neither of them actually to do with BB being bothered with 'racism'.
1. They wanted to show jay getting in 'trouble' following him ****ting in that freezer and it not being addressed at all (despite that being far more offensive and gainst BB rules then saying what he said). 2. They wanted to show that confusing footage of Aaron in the DR after very badly. Ofc it also starts threads like this which gain sympathy for Jay. I think it'sobvious that the BB team have decided that the Jay/Lou 'story' will carry them for the next couple of weeks and everything we see over the next few days will chosen to be to that end. |

I am really now thinking it was just a ploy by Ch5 to get Jay the sympathy vote and get the public on his side

I do still think there's some part of the story missing as to why Aaron was so upset. It doesn't make sense that Jay woke Aaron up to tell him about it when they're not exactly buddies in the house.

I have feeling though that the lack of l/f is less about the money and more about wanting to control what we see and what kind of a show we get. I'm getting more and more fed up with all these "Reality" shows tbh, I'm on the verge of having reality show protest and not watching any of them anymore (Gavin is praying for that day to come!)
