I'm shocked to read this news: though there was an article in yesterday's paper I think, showing her in a hell of a state coming out of a party and I though the same thoughts as you've put up Callum, it's like she's been existing for years, not living - just getting by and very unhappily.

the question is why is there always someone in a celeb circle willing to give the star the first taste of drugs? Jealousy or do some celebs just willingly ask for a first taste. sad

Hollywood is so fickle...everyone "liked" her when she was at the peak and she was abandoned when she needed help. I imagine it's just a part of the experience, really - maybe it helps to deal with the pressures of fame, being in another world inside your head or something. But yeah, probably peer pressure, or because it's 'cool', or something like that

or perhaps the fact being that being an addict - is a choice - as it is well known and long documented that drugs can lead to addiction: it's not news, so it's a chance they take and they take knowingly. No one forces anyone to take drugs - peer pressure is that, pressure -it's not forced upon a person.

We all wonder that but the comeback always is you can't help someone that doesn't want to be helped. This is true but also many people manage to get through with the love and support of friends and family, you wonder just how hard those "friends" really tried to help in the hour of need.
