I think the only thing worse than dealing with the paranormal, is dealing with people that don't believe you.

It's scary not just because it happens, but also because no one believes you. And you start to think you might be crazy. People start to treat you like you are crazy.

If this was happening to me, i wouldn't wanna tell anyone about it. Which is crazy because people have no problem going around talking about how they prayed for someone, and they believe in God., But this kind of stuff they treat you like you are crazy.

Ghosts DO exist if you ask me. It's a shame because these awful ghost documentaries on TV make it look fake and laughable. But many people in life, including myself, have had experiences and seen at least 1 ghost.

Yeah some of those pictures may be fake, but many of them were taken long before the days of photoshop. Read up on them, you may be freaked out.

People who believe in ghosts are made out to be crazy - so why not christians? There's just as much proof of god existing than there is ghosts (in fact, more proof for ghosts if anything!)

very good point Jarvio. there are plenty of pictures of ghosts, how many pictures of Jesus are there? unless you count burnt toast...

why is it the only pictures of jesus we have are on burned toast??? lol

The Easter Bunny is taken from Pagan religions who thought the hare could travel between the realms of humans and spirits and was linked to Oestra, Pagan Goddess of spring and fertility. One of Oestra's symbols is an egg linking into the fertility thing. The female hormone oestragen is named after her. Christians nicked her festival for the Jesus thing, which is why we they have chocolate eggs and bunnies. All kind of off topic, but interesting I think.

There isn't one shred of unrefuted, scientific evidence that ghosts exist. Not one. That's not to say I don't believe your spirit goes on, but I don't believe ghosts concern themselves with scaring the living and hanging around in what are considered "creepy places". Every picture or piece of film that's ever presented of a ghost is blurry, out of focus, grainy and shaky. Why is that? We have the technology to take pictures of Mars and beam them across space, we can send a high res picture from one mobile phone to another on the other side of the world, and yet every picture that purports to be of a ghost, you have to screw your eyes up to try and see what it's supposed to be.

Well a lot of those pictures are old, before the days that we had such technology. Also, if there were any modern pictures of ghosts today, they would most likely be accused of being fake, because today we have things like photoshop.

I actually once read that einstein's theory suggests that ghosts could exist. I don't know the exact details, but apparantly his theories support the existence of ghosts in terms of energy displacement or something along those lines, look it up.

But my point still stands, that even though there is little evidence for ghosts, neither is there for god (sorry christians).

Religious people DO get a lot of stick by non believers so I don't know why you think they don't. There's a poster in this thread who makes rude comments towards them.

But, as for the photographs supposedly showing ghosts in the "days before photoshop", it doesn't take photoshop to put blurry marks and reflections on photographs.
If anything, an old picture is more likely to have specks, marks, smudges, strange areas of lighting on them than nowadays with all the high def technology.

I didn't say I didn't think that ghosts don't exist per se. I said I think your spirit does go on, but that ghosts as they are perceived by many are the work of novelists and the film industry.

Einstein hardly ever completely ruled out anything.

You can have faith that God exists (and it's not just Christians who believe in God as you probably know). You can also have faith that ghosts exist. I just think if there were no novels and no movies to show us what's scary, most people would look for more rational explanations for "hauntings" rather than relying on their overactive imaginations.
