There was radio and TV programme called 'I've Never Seen Star Wars' where celebrities try things that are new to them, but common to others, including watching certain films.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I've_N..._(radio_series) I thought before that could be a forum thread or game where people watch something for the first time, and report back what they thought of it. |

I really like the LOTR films, but got about 45 minutes into the first Hobbit film and gave up. Found it painfully boring
. Other than that I'm a bit of a junkie for modern cinema, both character-driven and blockbuster, so there aren't many "everyone has seens" that I haven't seen. Also seen all of the "main classics" from the 80's onwards I would say. My wife is another story. She saw The Goonies for the first time at the weekend (wut!) and there's loads of what I would consider "80's kids" movies that she hasn't seen... Totally baffles me. All emerged from watching "Stranger Things" - she adored it but totally missed a lot of the references that I was commenting on, having never seen Goonies, Stand By Me, IT, etc. She had at least seen E.T.
