Ok, I agree.
I don't think this thread will take us anywhere productive.

I'm glad that people have ironed out their ( yeah correct... I think) problems. But I'm still very weary of my mistakes now.

So I hold my hands up high and say that I will make mistakes often because of my dyslexia and I dont know I'm doing it. I get letters, numbers and even words mixed round. I have to really think about my b's and my d's and which one I should be using.

Like I said in my first post, when I read this thread it put the fear of God into me as I cant control how I spell or use grammar.

But I now understand that some people find it annoying. If I had understood the rules of grammar when I was taught it then yes it might annoy me too, but everyone is different. Nobody is perfect. I cant spell for toffee but I have other talents. And from a very young age I have had to have a very big dictionary close at hand, but I can pick up a paint brush and create art!

I guess what I am trying to say is that everone has faults. Picking up on them makes things 100 times worse. I enjoyed reading through this thread this moring because it was nice to see people having a debate. After all isnt that what this site is all about? Voicing your opinions and someone else voicing theirs ( right speling???) And that, of late, is something that has been missing from the site

All I'm really asking is for a little leniency

If i was the sensitive type then right now i'd be thinking 'Uh oh, James and other members get really annoyed at people putting comma's in the wrong place' as other members have been using the mad emotion too. Now, after typing 'comma's', i looked and realised i have a comma after the a and i don't know if it should be there or not. If it shouldn't then i've 'really annoyed' some members as well as the Admin on the site. Now, as i'm not the sensitive type; i really couldn't care less because i'm not going to get my mum upstairs and ask each time if i am putting a comma in the wrong place, am i? Whearas, the 'sensitive type' people will and it will really put people off posting.

I may get mixed up with my there, they're and their's and put comma's in the wrong place but i don't use text speech and i use full stops, capital laters and my posts are readable.

Right, everybody knows that a full stop should be used yeah? But i've never been taught in school that you could replace '', '' emotions etc with full stops which is what James, jem_stone and Lauren has done. Now, not using full stops or getting mixed up with comma's and the word 'there'. What's more of an issue? I know that's really petty but people are pointing out faults that annoy them which other people don't know any different but insist on replacing full stops with emotions.

Plus, i can understand how text speech annoys people but how on earth does a comma or a word spelt wrong really annoy people? Surely there are more important things both on and off the forum which are more important?

Anyway, there/their you go, my mouthful.

Without sounding nasty the person who made the thread is hardly on, and to pick at a small thing like that is bit over the top. If people miss comma's and full stop's why is it a problem?

Also spelling mistakes everyone makes them we ain't all perfect.

2. YOUR - means belonging to you.
It DOESN'T mean - i.e. - 'I think you are great.'
If you want to write that, it is 'I think YOU'RE great.'

Thankyou. I feel MUCH better now.
It also drives me MAD!!!

That and text speak.

Don't worry about it everyone makes mistakes, ive made loads and if people don't like it tough, it's not like your using text speech is it.

I just don't see why people are making a deal out of a couple of small mistakes, it's pointless.

This thread should not have been made everyone is going to be nervous to post now, i thought everything was getting better on here no arguments everyone seem's to be getting on well now, now this thread has been made all the arguments will start again.

People need to consider other people's difficultie's before making a thread like this.

Guys we are not exactly gonna hate you if you don't have proper grammar. I don't either! It is annoying for me because I'm also getting C's and D's in English just because I can't spell or use grammar. I think ROB was just saying. No one should be put off posting because of a few grammar mistakes! It is just silly. As long as we all understand each other I think personally it is better to all get along then putting a comma in the right place.

Take time?????

Sorry cc but I could take all the time in the world checking and rechecking and I cant recognise my mistakes.

I have a learning disorder marked by impairment of the ability to recognize and comprehend written words

Look this Thread should Be locked

R.O.B is going to come on and feel like its her fault that people are saying that it will get people too nervous to post, when that is a load of crap its not her fault.

Fair enough people make mistakes when there typing we all do and thats life. And R.O.B was only letting people know that she gets anoyyed about it.

So Mainly this thread has been made into a pontless one by all the bickering for who is right and whose wrong

Everyone is right, everyone is entitled to an opinion but we should not let it get out of hand

As long as people don't use text speech it shouldn't be a problem, i can understand everything unless it's text speech, people are just being out of order.

I thought id comment as its a subject I feel strongly about.
I dont like it when people sit there and constantly correct people. Omg someone forgot the apostrophe in your, give them an ABSO!
I dont always get things right, and i dont think its fair to correct them and say its 'annoying'.
If you get annoyed at someone saying of instead of have, I think you need a hobby!
