Though, at the same time, many celebs manage to be very famous without being hounded by paps everywhere they go (think the likes of Brad Pitt, Cliff Richard and so on). I do feel that in most cases..they encourage it if they are chased constantly

Maybe, I don't know. I'd say boy bands and Justin Bieber types are probably most in demand though because of the hysteria that they attract, much more than people like Brad Pitt i think because of the particular market they appeal to

So, what I've learned from reading this thread ... If you're famous, you deserve to be harassed. If you're male, you should just stand back and allow females to be physically aggressive. And you should be well over your mother's death after 3 months.
