I think people should broaden their definition of celebrity tbh. It shouldnt always be tv-related, there are other ways to make a name for yourself. Over one million people are subscribed to a channel that is dedicated to him, personally. Nobody watches Towie for only the Fearne bits.

Well theres always gonna be someone more famous.

Like I never heard of Fearne or Vicky before their series.. and I did know of some of the towie and gs cast.. but the fact of there being more famous people on towie and gs didnt detract from these two being relatively famous.

I think most have a pretty broad definition already, people don't have to be on TV to qualify and frankly I have no idea where you plucked that from anyway

The fact remains he is little known and only known at all because his brother used to be famous. Actually looking at his video views and comments compared to his followers I bet his followers are bought. 1 million followers and his biggest video only has just over 7000 comments? surrre.

I don't think he's little known though. Over a million people are very interested in him, personally, whereas only ~800k people were watching the latest series of towie which has several cast members. Maths would suggest he's better known than your average rtv star.

Youtube subs can be bought. I believe his are.

Towie may only get 800k views but as I stated earlier in the thread they are still pretty well known in general. I can guarantee you 90% of the audience will not know who Joe Maynard is.

Im honestly not taking the piss, I have no idea who that is. I think you've overestimated how many people care for these rtv shows lol. I also think you're underestimating how many people watch Youtube. Most kids and teens watch more Youtube than they do TV.
