Decent premiere though, didn't feel the most eventful especially with no pre-TC camp talk but good buildup for what seems like a messy cast

Sooooooo I did that thing where I was on the couch and I fell asleep bc I'm tired as **** from being a working girl* and I didn't have an alarm set so I missed pretty much the entire premiere That being said, my interest in Survivor and excitement for this season has been soooooooo low that I didn't look at this cast at all. I woke up to what I thought was a horror movie but it was someone getting medevaced? It was pretty good TV until the sobbing girl with the big ears was all "THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS TO *US*" and then the country bumpkin girl was like "welp AS DAVIDS we know how to get back up when we're kicked down!!!!" and then ****ing Jeff Probst showed up to pontificate about how of course this misfortune happened to the Davids rather than the Goliaths, and I was just like "yup, this is Survivor" :rolleyse:



*TMI but the only difference is that rather than passing out from just not getting enough sleep during the Ghost Island finale, I passed out because I actually had to get a rectal exam done earlier that day and I fainted at the doctor's office and was ****ing miserable all day so I just took a nap and pretended like it never happened. Just felt like sharing that one :3

thanks hun perks of being an only child who lives at home is that your mother worries about EVERYTHING and when she found out that there was some blood when I wiped back in like February she freaked out and made me go see a gastroenterologist and then he did the deed and I passed out afterwards when he was talking about what I should do to treat my butt I have a ~ting~ where any invasive medical procedures make me faint, even getting an ingrown toenail painlessly taken care of at the podiatrist.

(The latest medical woe in the Lightfoot household is that one of my bloodwork numbers came back like just a liiiiitle bit too high so my mother FREAKED OUT and talked to my primary care physician herself bc of my dad's medical history, then I had to go see a hematologist and get more tests done, everything came back fine, my mother was like "......I don't think she was thorough enough ", I then had to get two ultrasounds and those came back fine as well, but now that my urine sample had like a high number or something my mother is concerned I have a bladder infection! The fun never stops )

But yeah as for Survivor..... I'll watch this weekend and post my #thots even though I already ****ing hate Jeff Probst all over again just from the last 20 minutes of the episode.

That was a really good premiere episode. They focused way more on character development then dumb twists and that made for a very compelling first episode.

A good premier!

- I liked that almost everybody got some content (only Alec didn't really get anything but he still got a confessional). A lot of it was personal content as well so it's a good start.

- I found it a bit hard to keep up with the duos (Bi/Jessica, Carl/Jessica, Carl/Davie, Elizabeth/Lyrsa, Christian/Gabby, Nick/Elizabeth, and that's just on one tribe @_@) so I hope it doesn't become too convoluted.

- Alec and Dan can GET IT

- Carl & Jessica are my two winner picks right now. I'd be shocked if anyone on the Goliath tribe won lol

- I mean I am tired of the nerd archetype like so ****ing tired why do we have to have it every other season it's so nauseating. I probably would like Christian if we weren't getting the same **** over and over.

- The theme is so corny lmao and Jeff is horrifyingly OTT with it like, Pat nearly ****ing dies and Jeff's all "This would only happen to a David " like chill tf out.
