Exactly. I’d have more respect for more vegetarians if I didn’t think it was rooted in weak sentimentality for the most part.

No sure probably the same place they get this idealised view of farm animals having a goood old time in an open field before strolling into the Slaughter house so they can finally fulfil their dreams of becoming a burger.

“You have to season chicken because it’s disgusting.”

I take that as a lame-arse joke in itself. Especially coming from a guy like you.

Wow people get ever so worked up on the topic of what other people eat don't they. I genuinely don't care, as long as its not shoved in my face. Though I have never ever had a meat eater shove their beliefs down my throat, where a fair few vegetarian friends will just drone on and on and on about how evil I am for finding meat ****ing tasty!

Yeah, be vegetarian/vegan out of choice, health or for the environment but when people try to guilt or shame meat eaters because of, as you say, sentimental reasons it becomes rather silly IMO.

Meat eaters don't generally beam with pride or drone on about being meat eaters so not sure where you got this fiction from.

I just think it’s funny how a black guy can say chicken’s disgusting. You’re not serious at all are you.

And if you admit to the first bit then don’t call out other people’s vegetarian jokes as unfunny either.

1st of all why would I a vegan of 3+ find chicken tasty, 2 did I not even say unseasoned chicken? Finally the whole black people love chicken thing is a mess because chicken is universally liked it's not just a black thing. It's not even a meat thats really used in my culture as people from Rwanda prefer beef with it being primarily made up of cattle herders. So you can miss me with the whole black thing.

Also I never said vegetarian jokes are unfunny, I just said they don't bother me because 9/10 I've probably heard that same joke countless times before. Clearly my joke bothered you though because you seem really heated.

On the other hand it could just be because meat-eaters are the majority and don’t need to prove their relevance by preaching and shaming.

When did I say meet eaters beam with pride? I was just pointing out the messy propaganda on a lot of meat and dairy products that make out the cows and farm animals are just having a blast on their lil farm.

Also theres literally posts in here saying they would rather die then eat meat

You can either be pedantic about it for the sake of stock counter-arguments or take my post for what it is. Either way you know what I’m saying really.

Enjoy your rabbit food. Don’t shame meat-eaters with primary school arguments.

Ah yes back in primary school when we use to debate about the damaging effect mass meat production has had on our environment or have frank discussions about the ethics of the meat and dairy industry as it stands. Urgh, those were the days. Take me back to being 9

I didn’t know it was unnatural and unethical for cows to be milked.

You always say that in discussions "you know what I'm saying" and I'll be honest with you I really don't know what you're saying, either elaborate or just leave the whole black thing out of it because clearly my experience as a black person isn't identical to yours.

I know that you know what I’m saying deep down so I’m not even going there.

You’re allowed your lifestyle but you should have as much respect for carnivores as you expect them to have for you. That’s the crux of it.

I'm not one to preach on this, I'm not vegan just vegetarian so far but you're burying your head in the sand if you think that the dairy industry is natural and ethical. Educate yourself.

It's not really my job to tell people what is and what isn't ethical but a lot of people really don't know what goes into getting their food to them and It's my opinion that if more people were 100% aware they would at least consider cutting down on the amount they consume.

Also whether you drink milk or not theres no arguing that drinking another animals milk isn't very natural seeing as nature intended for that milk to go to their babies. Theres a reason so many people are lactose intolerant.

I really have no clue what you're saying, so be frank or don't bring it up at all. I don't think you understand how annoying it is trying to engage in a discussion over the internet, with someone who constantly expects you to read between the lines.

Show me where I disrespected anyone for eating meat?
