So you're telling me that, Danny Baker, a DJ, Journalist and Comedian, 3 careers that rely on you being in the know and up to speed on current events and media, didn't watch any of the royal wedding or see any photos of the Royal wedding where Meghans, clearly black mother was. Never picked up a newspaper or read stories about Meghans family and the "controversy around it, where again her clearly black mother would have been pictured. And even if you believe all that is either really really unobservant (which would be a terrible trait for a journalist) or has never seen a picture of Meghan herself who looks very clearly mixed race?

Logically that seems absurd to me and a very long stretch. I'm surprised that you would take 2 of his, clearly biased friends words over logic LT

I has no idea she was mixed race when i first saw her so yes I can. And if you knew who James O'Brien was you would change your tune, believe me.

Provide me with any evidence prior to that tweet that he has one racist bone (he is 60 and has been in the public eye for 40 of those years)

To be fair, James O'brien is a good guy who wouldn't defend a friend to get them out of a lie if he thought the accusations were true. That said, Danny Baker telling someone he didn't know she was mixed race doesn't mean he actually didn't know.

He did wrong, got caught, and his self preservation forced him to grasp for a convenient excuse. And here we are.

Does she look mixed race? I think she looks exotic... South American? Mediterranean... I wouldn't instantly look at her and think, Oh, she's mixed race. And not everyone knows her as an actress, I wouldn't have known her, never seen suits. And not everyone follows the royals... having said all that, it was still a rookie mistake I wouldn't necessarily have expected from someone who's been in the media for so long.

Yeah, I realise. I'm actually glad he doesn't understand the way his own post could be misconstrued. It shows the generations coming after yours, and then mine, aren't even aware of some of the old school racism from the past.
