…because it was intimated that students had caused substantial actual damage to their university property and a ‘fake’ picture shown of an abandoned building room which had no bearing on the real story …and that and those students became the focus of ‘outrage’ very quickly …but I don’t think that was media led ….it was obvious that the damaged room didn’t look like a recent thing and a few seconds of googling the image would have confirmed that…we talk about ‘cancel culture’ a lot and become outraged about that as well so frequently……but I’m finding it very interesting to observe ‘outrage culture’ which to me seems to be a growing thing from different sources of media and non media…
