'He's a Effing idiot!': Noel Gallagher on rotund pop star Sam
Smith and SLAMS him for being 'uncool' in a foul-mouthed rant

Speaking on Dutch radio station Kink the Oasis frontman, 55, went on to
correctly refer to the singer as him.

The Wonderwall hitmaker said: 'Music has become quite fractured and chart
music is dominated by pop. Pop music is alright if the pop stars are cool.
Sadly the stars of today are *******ing idiots.'

When asked who he thought was one of the 'uncool' stars were he quickly
replied ' Sam Smith'.

I would definitely say Pop, Rock & Indie are probably all fair tags for Oasis, as different songs of theirs will fit one of the three genres I think.

Sam Smith has just gone weird .. I love his music but he seems to have changed his personality over the last few years

This is basically attention seeking from Noel Gallagher.

Jumping on the latest fad to get people talking about him (Noel) as Sam Smith is probably the number one most talked about singer right now, and anyone discussing Sam will get a huge Media boost.

Agree with so many in here who are slamming Noel Gallaghet.

He's a scrub guitarist, who's written probably half a dozen good songs. Don't get me wrong those good songs are actually great songs but he hasn't written anything of 90's quality for over a decade.

He's done this before and hence I agree he's attentions seeking. I rembemer him ripping into Lewis Capaldi, Emili Sande and he also said Jay Z should not play Glastonbury. Why so interested in other people careers? Its baffles me. Yet I've heard Liam being quite complimentary about Harry Styles, Stormzy etc.

Noel is acting like a bitter old rocker where as Liam is more of an uncle to the young artists. My, how we got those two wrong back in the 90's

Wasn't the Gallagher brothers in a bitter law suit or something??, I remember hearing about them having a big falling out or something?.

They apparently haven’t spoken for years .. their mum has quite recently begged them to make up and Liam is happy to forgive and forget but mardy-arse Noel won’t play ball
