I don't care what side of the fence you stand on this issue. When women are literally being attacked and threatened for speaking then there's a huge problem here. You can't claim to be "on the right side of history" and condone this behaviour (or worse take part in it) There's a video showing a man punching a 70 year old woman in the face twice as well

I don't agree with this, but you do realise she is really close with the Nazis? I don't mean "people I don't like on the internet" kind of Nazis, but the real ones. As she hates trans people now, is how she has spoken out against other minority groups previously

This is a really weird movement for personality cults, and as I've predicted and tried to warn you about, the links between this movement and the far right is becoming increasingly closer and closer, but good luck to anyone on their "definitely the right side of history" quest, but I guess the biggest problems with Jews in the 1930's is that they didn't show the Germans enough reverence.

Co-opting is not gatecrashing. If I held a rally, do you know which group of people wouldn't feel as though I said anything which could be co-opted by them? Nazi's, white supremacists, and those quoting Mein Kampf.

There is a lot more out there about poor, unfortunate, Posie, who for some reason has nazi's speaking about the same issues as her, at her own rallies, but I only came in to make one post, and I've now made 4 or 5, so you can do your own research if you're interested enough. I already know that most in this thread won't be (not you, Oliver).

I 100% agree with you up until this point but this is where I find the bias and blinkers come in;

Yes, the rise of the right is terrifying and they are quite clearly and at this point openly piggybacking on this issue - however - the whole thing is reaching boiling point, which is of course the mechanism for escalation and really the whole point. There has been a clear, demonstrable and becoming-exponential increase in violence coming from "the community" (I'm not going to say the left because we know it's not an accurate descriptor at this point).

There's been a recent flip in perpetrators of shootings from the classic "frustrated incel" to members of the LGBTQ community (multiple examples). Gatherings where there are counter-protests with large turnouts like this are becoming increasingly violent from the outset (people declaring violent intent in the run up, not just escalation on the day).

There's an aggressive quasi-religious crusade-esque element rapidly simmering up in the LGBTQ community at the same time as the worrying emboldening of the far right (the outright classically religious far-right, too, the bible thumpers are all over this).

There's no "right side of history" to be on at this point other than the side of some sort of rationality and reason ... unfortunately, that's rarely where history is made.

There's a real hesitance to talk about the things above though from some quarters. And not people arguing that it isn't the case ... just a deafening silence and determination to pretend that there aren't clear and present elements of radicalisation occurring within the LGBTQ community.

The elephant in the room is that radicalised people throughout history have had obvious and understandable reasons for going down that path, whether they're from Belfast, Baghdad, Reddit or Discord. One man's terrorist is the next woman's freedom fighter, etc.
