A couple of things.

The final is going to be split into two parts for those who don't know, just to recap. First part will be Male/female duets and second will be bands with animals in their names.

This is so the judges don't have to judge 14 songs at once.

So the second part of the final will perhaps be Thursday by the time we are all done and dusted.

Yes Niamh, you did make us aware you couldn't vote at weekends, I think other judges had that stipulation too.

And now for the elephant in the room. Nicky. Ok, I must be soft in the head or something but he can take part. I don't think he'll ever learn but we'll finish as we started, with 7 players. I'm still not happy with his consistent attitude, with digs at fellow contestants and judges throughout the game. However, as I didn't exclude Parm for quitting, I can't in all conscience stick to my guns here. I have Nickys song. I'll include it.

This is hard to write, and it feels like I'm a big meanie lol but I have to say I can't allow either The Beatles or the Monkees as animals because they aren't spelled right to fit the theme. It's very strict, I know, I know, and I'm sorry to the two contestants who chose them. I just wouldn't want to see you marked down on a technicality. Maybe the judges wouldn't have been so strict but it is the Final so could you please choose again guys.

but tbh sometimes i think i need to bring the drama for added excitement in the game but ok no insults, everyone has different tastes of music, it is a beautiful thing too, would be boring if we all had the same tastes
