We started this yesterday (Well, restarted, we actually watched ep 1 back when it first came out but for some reason didn't continue, for no particular reason, just got distracted by another show I think). I think I'll enjoy it, will avoid this thread as I imagine riddled with spoilers .

I'd only been a 9-5 worker a couple of years I think when I first tried watching, I'm 6 years deep now and feel like I understand the initial themes better already.

Me & wife were talking about how genuinely weird it is that you can wake up feeling utterly crappy and sulky and then 5 minutes later be on a video call laughing & joking with your brightest face on. And it made me wonder, how often am I talking to people who seem happy/jolly but they've just had bad news that they don't want to share, or have literally come into the call off the back of an argument with family, but they're all smiles.

…that makes me think of that saying, turn that frown upside down…I know that’s a ‘childish’ saying but it’s been applicable to my job as well…and I hadn’t really thought of it but you’re correct in that there are some associations to innie and outie world, aren’t there…I mean, not in the same way but we can relate in some small way…
