I'm really sad to see how TIBB has changed in the bad way but fortunatly the old members like Kiz does understand us. And she's so right to tell what's happening cause we need a discussion like that.

Bad posters should get banned for bad posts, only and only if it happend plenty of times, all day long. I don't target anyone of course.

I think it's quite weird the fact that old members have to take the habits of the new ones, it's scandalous, we have to be sad, angry of being agressed for anything. Newbies should respect the rules and respect our opinions.
that is so true sunshine30 i totally agree

I dont think that would happen to be fair, as all karma is logged and admins can check whats been dished out.

I think we have a really good selection of admins and mods who would be fair
I'm not questioning that, it's a great selection of Mods but personally, as great as they are on the forum, I don't think they should have excessive karma powers, favourtism will always come into at some point (even if it's not intentional, kind of ), especially as they'd have unlimited powers and could therefore dish it out as much as they wanted.

Post count should be gotton rid of, I've been a member of about 2 months and have only posted an average of about 5 posts a day.

Some members have been here for a matter of weeks, and are well on their way of 1000 posts!

But they have the right now to deal out a warning so it would just be an extension of that system.

But I do see your point about excessive karma dishing out.

But something needs to be done about the one word/one line spamming

And where's the problem ? The Karma system is here in order to "punish" the bad posters, and I don't think Luva is like you said, I know him. If he did low some karmas it was for good reasons.

Thats rather presumtous to assume that

and thats blatant targeting of members which isnt allowed on this forum

and besides..... we are talking about post count and quality of posts.

People who keep posting just to get their post count up annoys me. Its not how many times you post a day, because someone can post LOADS a day, but still make interesting posts, but there seems to be alot of members (not just new ones), that post just for teh sake of posting and it annoys me

I do agree, some posts like "lol" do annoy me so much ! It's so weird !
Fortunatly great members and good posters are still there in order to keep TIBB as I knew it.

Some people did reproach me to blame the new members, but I'm sorry when I read what's happening with them, I have to say what I'm thinking and some did agree with me.

Old members shouldn't be embarassed anylonger to post and to express their opinions, weird members won't make the laws !

Yeah, they can dish out a warning if members break the rules but by adding this new ''karma power'' then they have the power to add or deduct as they please whether they break the rules or not. Whearas with the warnings, they have to have a valid reason, i.e. somebody breaking a rule of the forum.

Something does need to be done definatly but not excessively where people right ''X to win'' and they get a warning for not giving a 3 line response as to why.

FYI Nodis had his karma turned off so it would have been impossible even if I had thought of such a thing, And there was no "vendetta". Nodis was a nasty peice of work who brought the forum down. Just so you are clear on that.

Throughout my time on this forum there has always been a small minority of posters who do just post for the sake of it, rather than than think thoroughly about their replies it just ends up being silly stuff with the sole intention of boosting post count, I just don't understand people's obsession with getting a massive post count through posting crap replies, it's only a number and it's not going to gain you any favour with the other members here, you'll just end up annoying people with silly replies that add nothing to a thread.

The changing of how post count is displayed has played a part in stopping people being silly in their replies but it's still not stopped others.

I think people need to think a little more before they post, something I've seen recently creeping in is people posting in topics about things of no interest to them, it's just a reply of"I don't like it".Why!?

Why...exactly...... I always want to follow silly quick answers with..... "why???"

Because thats how a debate continues.I have noticed so many threads die and wither down the list because people respond with short posts that dont bring anything to the topic..... its even happened in this thread

I'm sorry, but that's just not nice.

There's nothing more worse than targeting members, and that's exactly what you have done in your post.

I suggest you should apologise to postandpollmad i'm sorry but that was out of order.
