I'm back! I was gonna start again after LI/BB finished but I have just been craving Survivor too much recently. Omg it's been 3 months, normally I take only a month break.. I guess S24 really did scare me off. I was gonna finish S24 but I decided I should start on the apparently positive note of Phillippines. S24, in the eight episodes I saw was an utter abomination. Horrendous casting and uncomfortable viewing. Unsure if i'll ever finish it but decided for now, that's enough of ****ing that

Anyway, perched for S25, idk the winner (I don't think?) so should be good!

For some reason I can't warm to Abi. I just think she's too annoying, and she's been pretty unfair with RC, who I prefer.

For some reason I'm not getting into this season I heard good things about it but maybe I'm just too preoccupied w LI and BB.

Penner and Lisa with ha masterplan are emerging as my favourites.

It's weird that I didn't really think much of Penner in CI. Did anyone? And I was a bit like why when he came back for FvF but he was really likeable in the underdog role in S16, and I like him this time too.

At first I hated Abi, and shes clearly got a lot of issues/insecurities, but by the end I ended up really enjoying her and she is a big reason why season 25 was so entertaining imo.

Abi is one of the best villains this show has ever had and although I love Philippines without her it would've been boring

Phillipines is meant to be this post-HvV shining beacon but I don't really feel that way about it so far. Like the show has definitely not been as good since S20, but I don't think Phillipines is any, or much, better than Nicaragua. S22 and 24 especially were horrendous though.

I just feel like the 25 cast has been underdeveloped until after the merge.

EDIT: I read my post back - don't get me wrong, S25 is definitely a good season. It's just not amazing.

I think Penner might just be someone who's easy to appreciate more over time. Because I didn't like him the first time I saw him (in Philippines) until later in the season and then I appreciated him a lot more the other times I watched him after that.

Yeah he is very different in each season (a big time difference I guess). But I saw him in Philippines first so I was surprised to see how much more intense (and creepy) he was in AO.

I agree... I didn't like her at all but she's kinda grown on me over time and I enjoy her as a villain for the show as she brings the drama. (I'm still not really that big of a fan though)

I might've enjoyed Philippines when I first watched it but that's more to do with it being one of the first couple of seasons that I watched. In hindsight I realized that it's just kind of ok overall.

I still need to finish Philippines, but RC was my favourite from what I watched! I know Abi is popular on the forums, but I think she's quite overrated

I do think Abi's a little overrated, but it's hard not to appreciate the importance of the role she plays in the season (largely because she'd kill you if you did)
