A) Of course not. But it is a religious phrase that many Muslims use with affection and sincerity, so it’s not really something to make jokes about. If someone like Obama had said it, you can imagine the reaction — people would be shouting that the US was suddenly under Sharia law. It would have been a whole culture‑war circus. It’s just not funny and definitely not something to throw around lightly.

…what it also says is this isn’t/was never about any possible development of nuclear weapons, it’s about contempt he feels for a country/culture/religion…there is so much telling weight in those words and all of it very dangerous for innocent lives…
