The petition to bring back Fatboy Chubb following his demise on Boxing Day has already reached over 2,000 signatures.

Fan Sam Turner started the petition, insisting that the BBC have made a huge mistake by killing off such a popular character.

"As viewers have not seen a body in this storyline, the solution is simple #bringbackfats​," ​Turner​ demanded.

The character was killed in horrific circumstances after he was kidnapped and locked in a car boot overnight in a case of mistaken identity.

Actor Ricky Norwood played the role of Fatboy for six years​, but bosses decided to write him out of the show earlier this year.

To be fair though we've seen that he's a good actor, the producers were just too focused on other, bigger characters to use him to the best of his ability.

There is 0% chance him coming back though as they made the decision to axe him at the end of his contract after he was suspended for doing drugs

Also drugs are illegal caught with possession can lead to a prison sentence I doubt the show wants that over them
