It doesn't matter that they all slag each other off behind their backs...it's a given but hearing it is different. Most people do it but don't like it when they hear it back about themselves so it's only natural that it would cause tension.

I was on Sams side in the argument but I agree one might doesn't make him a worthy winner..

How are people working out that Sam owned Dexter??

As far as i could see, Dexter told Sam almost exactly what he said to him, and Sam clearly ended up frustrated as he couldn't think of anything else to come back at Dexter with and walked off,

Sam is a bore and starting to show himself up as a bit immature and i honestly hope for the sake of the show he doesn't win!!!

Sam is the worst sort of housemate - dull, sympathy vote, arrogant, quiet bore.

If those descriptions were true, which I disagree with them anyway as to but however it is how you see him, then that is all fine.

However, even being those things, is he not entitled to have whatever words he has said, relayed to others by anyone else exactly as he has said them and meant them.

That is what this question is about. Would you yourself,if you said something,be happy if someone else went and told someone what you had said but twisted it all to be a far more negative wording.

I 100% would be and I would challnege the person strongly too if it somehow got back to me, so for me Sam is right on this and not Dexter.
No matter who I liked more or less than the other, right is right and wrong is wrong.

Sam had every right to say something to Dexter after listening to Dexter twist Sam's words. I think most people would.

Dexter - Sam has been listening to Callum for too long and is now trying to step into his shoes - bad mistake imo if he wants to win.

Oh right... So Sam finds out Dexter & Sophie has said things about Sam that are wrong & he isnt allowed to say anything because its viewed as Callums influence on Sam
This is Sam who was long before Callum turned on Dexter telling Callum to gets some balls & tell him to f-off.
This is Sam who kept telling Callum to stand up to the monster-in-law(Jackie) & not to put up with it.
Sam stood up for himself & quite rightly so.

having slept on this I still think sam was in the right and understand his frustration.....again its easy to see how sophie and dexter thought theyd get away with it as he had left and as hes a bit slow working out what people are saying ..dexter was being sly lets face it, for once he was a bit sloppy how he went about his work...
and yet again her underestimated sam, who is perhaps becoming his nemesis as sam sticks to specific details and doesn't let dexter talk his way out of things...shame as I think dexter is an awesome housemate...very ironic too as dexter chose to make sam disappear.....

Sam was clear and direct. Dexter went into tailspin.

Even once Sam had (almost immediately) moved on, Dexter --who is so far up his own ass-- was DESPERATELY trying to dig his way out of the situation... flinching his eyes, flicking his fag, stuttering... showing himself for the weak, insecure punk-ass little bitch he really is.

Had to join this forum just to get in on this debate. Firstly, Dexter was being nice about Sam, was just pointing out to Gina why in his view Sam wouldn't be a worthy winner, all of which were 100% valid.
Sam only pulled them aside to sort it out because he heard Sophie say that's what a man would do, wasn't his idea, how could he not after that?
Sam has been brainwashed by Callum, who just used Sam to talk to the cameras out loud in his attempts to assassinate Dexter's character, because he had a chip on his shoulder about his background and was just jealous that Charlie always went to Dexter for advice when he thought he was the wisest guy on the planet.
Dexter got Sam's wording wrong, but that was just the way it came across in Sam's tone when he said it, in Dexter's view. Fair enough Sam wanted to clarify it, but didn't need to be so dramatic or make it out to be malicious when it was just a misunderstanding.
Dexter haters that have subconsciously taken on board Callum's accusations, like Sam, and analyze everything Dexter does and thinks it's some kind of evil game plan, when Dexter was just trying to comfort and congratulate Sam after the eviction, Sam should have appreciated that Dexter was reaching out and not thrown it back in his face, if anything it's SAM that needs to apologise to Dexter.

I think that's a fair point too....neither are blameless here and in the real world grown ups have to deal with these type of situations all the time without hissy fits.....both making a drama out of nothing to start with

Oh yeah, and the reason Dexter was nervous, was not because he was in the wrong but because he's intelligent enough to know that it would look bad for him to be perceived as picking on someone with a disability, even though he wasn't.
Kudos for Dexter for daring to point out the negatives of Sam and not treating him any different. Charlie or the Twins, for example, would never dare say a word against Sam, especially when they saw he was second favourite.

Dex got caught out lying and twisting Sam's words, that's why he was nervous.

Sam and Dexter are mature enough to sort out their issues with a simple private chat. They're cool with each other now.
