Had to join this forum just to get in on this debate. Firstly, Dexter was being nice about Sam, was just pointing out to Gina why in his view Sam wouldn't be a worthy winner, all of which were 100% valid.
Sam only pulled them aside to sort it out because he heard Sophie say that's what a man would do, wasn't his idea, how could he not after that?
Sam has been brainwashed by Callum, who just used Sam to talk to the cameras out loud in his attempts to assassinate Dexter's character, because he had a chip on his shoulder about his background and was just jealous that Charlie always went to Dexter for advice when he thought he was the wisest guy on the planet.
Dexter got Sam's wording wrong, but that was just the way it came across in Sam's tone when he said it, in Dexter's view. Fair enough Sam wanted to clarify it, but didn't need to be so dramatic or make it out to be malicious when it was just a misunderstanding.
Dexter haters that have subconsciously taken on board Callum's accusations, like Sam, and analyze everything Dexter does and thinks it's some kind of evil game plan, when Dexter was just trying to comfort and congratulate Sam after the eviction, Sam should have appreciated that Dexter was reaching out and not thrown it back in his face, if anything it's SAM that needs to apologise to Dexter.
