This is how I pretty much used to think as well and when I watched this series, I couldn’t stand James but a few months later I realised he was actually pretty hilarious and I was wrong about him before. He is a dick though, but he was a good houseguest nonetheless (Would say the same about Brett BB20 as well)

Yeah I pretty much feel the same way towards Shannon as well. She’s nice enough and has good intentions (using her goodbye speech to encourage people to donate to WWF and save rhinos) but she’s kind of annoying sometimes and generally quite overrated

This is me except instead of after a few months, I thought I wouldn't like him after the first episode but he quickly became a consistently enjoyable presence

This was a very sweet moment as well and proves being a dick was mostly pantomime

I think for me it was after watching a few more series - because CBB1 was my first - and realising that other series have the same “a dick, but a funny dick” character (BB16 Zach, BB20 Brett are the ones that spring to mind atm)
