I fear if they didn't leave Meghan might not have been here and Archie will be without a mother. It's quite scary to think about tbh. They did the right thing.

Which was Prince Harry's fear too Luke..
So yes, they've made the right decision in my view too.

Definitely.
I'm glad I am watching this.
While a Monarchist, I have felt a long time the hierarchy of the Palace, the institution as it's termed here.
Is a shocking set up.

As to Prince Charles, he used Diana.

Had Charles really loved Diana, this could have happened then.
However he is heir to the throne,so it couldn't, also though I'd say he probably really never loved Diana at all.
She was just used for legitimate heirs.

Charles wasn’t worthy of being in the same room as Diana, he treated her like crap and showed her no loyalty, so she seeked a man who would adore her as she deserves.

Definitely . Seeing those images and seeing them being more of a family and being able to enjoy the freedom of being more involved with their children and being a lot happier as opposed to how it was for Harry (and William) growing up, being more controlled in a system.

Finally Oprahs taken her foot of the table. Damn rude. If she'd have been in my house I'd have had a word.

A great interview tbh. They came across really well and didn't trash anyone at all like it was being made out to be. I really hope for the best for them and wish them a lot of happiness. I hope the toxic bullies and media don't get to them.

Actually a very endearing interview.
Prince Harry showed both the hurt he feels at the failure of the Royal institution, plus I sense from his rather cold Father too.

Prince William wouldn't dare seem to support Prince Harry either being the more like programmed heir to the throne, because quite frankly, the public would probably prefer Prince Charles NOT to be the next King but to hand it on to Prince William.

They're genuine togetherness and affection, showed through and was refreshing to see.

However, the name of who raised the skin colour offensive comment, will likely need to be made known.
It's a shocking statement.

Good interview, really interesting and in my view genuine too.

I agree with all of this Joey. You can sense that he feels very let down and hurt by the institution and the cold reactions from some of his family members.

There is a lot I think that the palace needs to answer for, especially the skin colour comment as you mentioned.

I just finished watching the whole interview , and i agree completely .

There's this very cold and stiff behaviour , and it's very sad as you can see that Harry feels let down by both his father & brother to a degree. Where was the support that they needed.

The royal firm /institution sounds very callous and toxic , sounds like utter hell what Meghan went through . And it seems other members of the royal family are happy to play the "role" and smile for the cameras like a robotic image. Not allowed to be too outspoken either .

And i don't care what anyone says the remark about Archie's
'skin complexion' clearly had a racist undertone to it , nobody was a fly on the wall. Harry didn't want to go into the details of that conversation, but you can tell it made him uncomfortable and he was taken aback by the comment made.

And i truly believe Meghan and Harry made the right decision by moving away and stepping back , especially for their mental health. It's gut wrenching to think Meghan actually contemplated suicide , she didn't deserve the hate she received.

Definitely and for their mental health too.

The problem there was as she said, she felt a need to maybe be somewhere to have her mental health concerns addressed.

She and indeed it's likely, the rest of the Royals are not under the disgraceful restrictive rules of the Royal set up.
Allowed to independently get that help.
It also seems despite Princes William and Harry's mental health highlighting.
They haven't been able to ensure the support is there within the Royal institution.

So there's no support from the Royal institution and neither can they independently go off to get outside help, due to the royal restrictions.

That shows the Royal institution for the outdated, cruel and totally wrong place and people it is.

Good, strong reasoned post from you GoldHeart
I felt they were sincere and they've lifted the lid off something as to the Royal institution, which needed to be done.

They aren't the first to highlight problems of no support within the Royal mess that it is.
The hierarchy of the Palace staffing as to the institution too..
They'll see mental health as weakness.
As others do, then you'll have those who don't like these 2, who will just dismiss their mental health concerns..

As many do with ordinary people too.
A total lack of compassion..

They can't be reasoned with so there's no point in trying.
Because attitudes to mental health are still shocking in society from uncaring people who just see it as weakness or excuses.

That's disgusting.

If Prince William and Kate are REALLY serious about mental health issues.
Well it looks like they need to start on the home front and do what this current Monarch hasn't done in nearly 70 years..
To get set up proper and trained mental health support for Royals feeling it.
OR allow them to go and get the independent help they may need.
Which Royal protocol clearly seems to forbid, in this day and age.

Those who scoff at mental health and the people who say they are feeling it and have fears.
Are not worth wasting time on.

Mental health is still a joke to some.
For all individuals.
In the Royal institution, it seems it's preferred to ignore it.
Shocking.

Plus, of course it's a racist orientated comment.
Re Archie's likely skin colour..
Further evidence of the truly rotten attitude and prejudice that flowed from the person who said it.
Whoever it is who said that, needs naming.
Disgraceful.

No wonder they got out, well done to them.
I've always just wished them well, I'm glad they gave us these revelations of what should be the most sinister of the Royal set up.

My Mother recalled when Prince Edward was in the forces, he struggled and was upset, not able to seemingly cope with it.
He was described as being a wimp and softie and had to do it out of duty.

It seems nothing's changed as to the Royal institution's hard and cruel insensitive regime.
