Saph - good to have her back and she’s butch about her own grandma comment cracked me up.

Ray. - great poster and contributer. Well thought out posts with great points.

Jones89 - I may not always agree with his post, but again great contributions

Thanks for the nominations @Mrluvaluva and @joeysteele you've both been great to read too.

And I hope that my Marcello-Meter thread hasn't taken the intellectual tag away from me in your eyes, Mrluvaluva.

Dear Kate, I have never admitted to either, so you’ve done nothing wrong. And thank you for your kind comment. In all honesty, I just want to be Garfie, and it really doesn’t matter to me whether I’m perceived as male or female. I’d say just go with your own feelings when referring to me. X

There are so many members I’d like to nominate this week, that it’s hard to reduce it to just three. However,

Mrluvaluva - has been part of so many interesting discussions, and I find myself looking forward to Mrluvaluva’s perceptions of housemates and events.

MysticMock - our views and opinions can differ a lot, but I enjoy Mock’s interpretations as they can be food for thought. I also have to express my appreciation for the kindness Mock has shown me, even though we don’t always agree. Thank you for that.

Fredmeneedle - He might describe himself as a grumpy Northern old git, but I find him adorable! I love the way he expresses himself, and the humour he brings. I also genuinely appreciate how kind and thoughtful he is. Thank you, fred! Looking forward to reading more of your posts!

I am, and I always do enjoy myself on here, and that’s the reason I return for each BB season. I have so much time, appreciation and respect for so many great people on here, that it genuinely feels like catching up with old friends after a long time apart, and that feeling is great.

Cheers, Mock, and respect to you for allowing me to express myself, and work through my thoughts and feelings. It helped during my moments of overthinking and self-doubt.

I didn't watch last week so couldn't nominate but this week my noms are:

Garfie - agree with a lot Garfie says and enjoy reading their posts

Maru - love her posts on this and the commitment to watching BBUK from the States.

MTVN - agree with a lot of what he says too

Thank you, both of you

It's not too bad technologically-speaking to watch from the US. I use Hola VPN's desktop app. The sacrifice is I give a little bit of bandwidth for others to use my American bandwidth so they can connect also, which I'm on a fiber connection. Otherwise it allows me to watch for free... I'm sure there's some limitation as far as how much I can watch, but I've not hit that limit just watching the live show, live feed and rewatching any episodes I may need to rewatch... it works really well and have had zero issues with it since discovering that method.

In some ways, it's more convenient for me that it's midday. So about 2-3pm... we're off from each other about an hour for about a week as we do our daylight savings on different dates. If it were in "real time" 9-10pm here, I'd really struggle. I'm usually tired by 7-8 these days with my current schedule...

The nice thing locally about being in Central time is most late evening shows are an hour earlier than in the Eastern timezone, so I get to enjoy the best stuff a bit earlier ... that's a real perk for me.. and shows like the Bachelor/DWTS would be even earlier than that so we used to enjoy a late dinner with the family while getting our daily dose of drama... I'm allergic to drama and OTT nonsense in my real life, so this is my vitamin/supplemental fix...

I usually watch shows that other people watch, if that makes sense. Like Bachelor/DWTS has a big following. My grandmother used to love that show when she was with us and it was crazy to follow it with the age divide. Like imagine having conversations with the elderly about which Bachelor is the best/least impressive... The same thing with DWTS, it's very accessible to a wide audience here.

I don't have cable anymore as I'd dropped it years ago, but when I did watch Bravo, TLC, etc it was whatever was on. I liked to watch Storage Wars, for some unknown reason when it was on... probably because it was something husband & I could get into.

The only shows I liked to really watch by myself were "personality" shows, so if I liked a certain celebrity, I might watch them... especially if they were into some kookie stuff, like an odd religion, etc.

…I’d forgotten actually that I was going to be travelling on Friday so won’t be able to post this week’s winner(s) in the afternoon…so I’ll close this a day early and the closing date will now be tomorrow at midday…sorry about that and taking 24 hours away, I’d forgotten to check if I would be here at Friday lunchtime…

…I’ll get on it at high noon to post week 2 results and then week 3 nominations can follow straight after…I was going to have a 24 hour pause and then start it again on Friday, to keep inline with the regular Friday end and start each week …but it really makes no difference so people can vote as soon as this week’s result is posted in the early afternoon…
