Well at least Hollyoaks rotate the characters used so that every character gets a rest/background period and then some time to be front and center for a bit.
One of the frustrating things about Eastenders and Corrie is that they tend to keep giving more and more to a select few characters for years and everyone else drifts around.

I agree Marsh, although on EE I liked it when Stacey was on a lot because she is my favourite ever character, could understand why some thought she was overused but it's the producers fault and not Lacey's that they liked to use her character a lot which did harm her character and they've now done the same to Ronnie even before this controversial storyline.

If you could axe 5 characters, who would you axe? and be realistic, pick characters that genuinely dont bring anything new to the show.

I would axe.

1. Jamil - he hasnt been in it in about 2 months and i havent noticed.

2.Ricky - Pointless dosent provide any good storylines, and he wouldnt be missed if he left.

3.Liberty - ****.

4.Finn O Connor - terrible character, hopefully Sinead & Finns real mum returns and takes Finn to live with her in spain or something (kind of like val with sonny and other dude)

5.Ruby Button - Seriously what is the actual point to this character?

besides them 5 i think the cast is perfect.

Liberty, Ethan, Seth (recast), Jamil and Duncan (although he's been alright recently).

I would recast another actress as Jem because the character did have potential if it weren't for the actress quitting.
