The actor was on This Morning and he said that his temporary departure was already planned to coincide with him going on holiday before he quit for good.

They decided to keep it in even after he quit and have him leave twice.

When it was reported SOC approached them with a 'big story line' which would result in them dying I never imagined it was ****ing Ronnie marrying Jack again and Roxy getting drunk at the wedding reception.

Me and Daniel-X were saying that it's obvious that by the end of Spring/early summer next year one of SOC's new characters will be a savvy businesswoman who catches Jack's eye and helps him out of his grief for Ronnie and is a good mum to all the kids and they get together but she later turns out to be a psycho.

Yeah I could've done without Ronnie/Vincent (two characters who interacted for about four months, had sex, then ignored each other for a year)

Her finally having the baby she always wanted who was healthy and would live a long life and then dying was everything coming full circle for her and it would have been the perfect but tragic ending. I'm kinda disgusted that now she's gonna randomly drown after being a spare part for 2 years.
