I just think they were too modern for him.

He likes traditional families like the Fowlers/Beales and he probably disliked the very modern and complex family unit of just two sisters living a co-dependent lifestyle. And of course they were Mitchells - and huge fans of the Fowlers/Beales like SOC hate the Mitchells don't they for the show basically shifting focus from the originals families to the Mitchells ever since the 90s?

Honestly the BBC needs a stricter procedure for hiring execs.

Although one move I'm glad SOC's gone with is closing the laundrette. I wouldn't have made it a dry cleaners though, I'd have merged it with minute mart and made a tesco express type place.
