I don't blame him for being completely pissed off and disgusted but he's lost all reasoning and any higher ground as he's now worse than Jane.

Jane never made any attempts on anyone's life. Max is now a badly written, moral-free, unfeeling caricature.

I understand he wants revenge which could entail a life of torment

He’s never been a murderer, he’s always been relatively level-headed so the complete change of character makes no sense and is making him completely unlikable

They also completely dropped the self harm angle from Christmas.

But I'll always hate him for making R&R's aftermath episode all about him.
