It wont happen, and if it does every club will want a replay when a mistake is made and probably want historical errors rectified as well. As they used to say when it was just refs these mistakes tend to even themselves out by the end of the season, if a team is good enough they should be able to win the league by more than one point

well I guess if they do they played well for the rest of the season, the season is not won and lost on one game played so early in the the year

Klopp being very understanding here. I don't agree with a replay, but his remarks are completely fair, and a little too mild for my liking. I'd have gone in on the people running VAR and refereeing, because trash decisions are happening every week, and there is no consistency.

Spurs aren't winning the league, but Liverpool could miss out on CL by a point. This level of mistake isn't happening every week and it's a completely exceptional circumstance, so no, teams aren't going to clamour for replays to rectify a 3rd round cup exit in 1977

unfortunately Kliopp has a bit of a reputation otherwise i think people would be more understanding of his position. For all we know the chief var guy may have been paid off by some gambling syndicate and he says "oops".

Any manager that is in contention for top 4 (maybe 5 for next season) is going to take it very seriously

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes played more minutes of football than any other elite player last year, new data shows.

World players' union Fifpro said the Portugal international, 29, played 6,666 minutes between 15 September 2022 and 15 September 2023.

The body analysed data on 1,800 players to illustrate the physical and mental demands top players face.

It is campaigning for changes to the football calendar to protect players.

The latest results from its Player Workload Monitoring tool show Fernandes played in 72 games over the period for club and country.

Four Manchester City players are in the top 10 for appearances made in a season in which they clinched the Treble, winning the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.

The quartet are Spain midfielder Rodri (68 games), Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva (67), Swiss defender Manuel Akanji (66) and Argentina forward Julian Alvarez (66) - who also reached the 2022 World Cup final with his country in Qatar.
