Now that he's actually been given some decent material to work with, I don't really want him to leave. I could do without the Carters excluding Whitney and Lee to be honest.

It's always the way.

They decide to axe a character sat about doing nothing, and in doing so they actually give them some decent material and make them interesting.

I wish we didn't know he was leaving tbh, knowing it's leading to an exit in the near future is kind of spoiling it.
