Liverpool could be without both Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres for this Saturday’s Premier League clash against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Both players picked up injuries whilst on international duty for the countries and did not train with the squad at Melwood today (Thursday). With some important games against Lyon and Manchester Utd ahead, Reds boss Rafa Benitez may not want to risk playing Gerrard and Torres in this Saturday’s 3pm kick-off. A statement released by the club today said, “Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres will not train with the rest of the squad today, but will continue to receive treatment and will be assessed again tomorrow.” uh-oh

After i flipping changed my premiership fantasy team earlier today have torres in 2 teams and gerrard in 1..
I think Sunderland are on good form... But if Kuyt and Bennayoun are on form they can still win.

People annoyed at how beckham got man of the match for about 38 minutes of play and crouch didnt after scoring twice.
Others have stated that we were second best in the game until Beckham came on and he was the one who made the difference.

Birmingham today for us..
The team that screwed (accidentily) eduardo from great from, 16 months later hes still not fully fit wont be playing today i dont think. Hopefuly we can get a win.

 Could manage to get ourselves back in the title race if we win today: Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Carragher, Babel, Lucas, Aurelio, Spearing, Benayoun, Kuyt. Subs: Cavalieri, Voronin, Riera, Mascherano, Insua, Ngog, Kelly. Surprised Spearing has been picked instead of Macherano, but he played good against Real last year and is our best reserve/youth player so hopefully he'll have another good game today. Sunderland: Gordon, Bardsley, Turner, Ferdinand, McCartney, Malbranque, Cana, Cattermole, Reid, Bent, Jones. Subs: Fulop, Nosworthy, Zenden, Campbell, Henderson, Da Silva, Healy. |
