Lady Gaga will not be around in 10 + years time. The same happened to Britney and co and look where they are now. It happened even in the 80's with Cindi Lauper and Debbie Harry. Madonna will still be around longer then Gaga will be. Fact.

Britney is still a successful "artist", she just never topped her debut, GaGa has, everything she releases tops the last thing.

Britney's peak was pre hair shaving. Look at the Circus singles charts to prove it.

Lady Gaga will have a peak very soon (Next albums possibly) and then fall just like Britney and co.

Britney never topped her debut single and it's unlikely she ever will. Circus did rather well in the states, it gave her a number one single, number one album and the other singles did rather well.

GaGa's next album will be her defining album, it'll be the one she is remembered for but she'll still be huge. No-one has had the amount of fame she has had and lost it.

In Britney terms Gaga's next album will be In The Zone or Blackout. Around that time she checked into rehab and the like.

Gaga may be swimming well in the success pool at the moment but the plug will come out very soon and will fall.

'They' don't exist. GaGa had many detractors but it was blatantly obvious she was going to be huge. I love how kids convinced themselves that they were special and 'in' on some online phenomenon that turned big so they could say 'I have been here since the start!'.

GaGa was always going to be big. She was ultra commercial from the start of her pop reign and was always poised for stardom in that guise. It's the same with the X-Factor and people 'getting behind' and 'believing' in someone to win. Complete pish. Your only being led into believing you are a part of something special or unique.

Manufactured grassroots. Sign of the times.

I actually think GaGa will last, and I think it's riddiculous to compare her to other artists, Harry. None of us know if she will last or not. Stop pretending you do.

Actually, I do think Gaga will be around for years too. She has musical credibility already which is unusual for a female popstar of her ilk. The mature side of the business respects her. Because she can actually sing and play instruments. Her act is for a live audience not just videos. That credibility will carry her far.

Now Im playing both sides. Coz I love both.

To flip the coin to give my positive comments on Gaga. I do think she is a talented artists and has produced great songs. She is quite well known now so that will be good for her in the future. And she is doing things that not many female artists are doing at the moment which is also good for her setting some backbone in the music world today.

I just see a very short expiry date and do not see her in the same amount of time Madonna has been around (Almost 30 years).
