I get what Jack is saying cos it was a problem when I was running it (The final ten was mainly Lost characters, which ironically doesn't even have 1 character in this time). It's why I personally preferred if people who didn't watch both shows left it blank regardless if their favourite character was in.

But then again, it is just a poll on a Big Brother forum.

I really don't get that logic at all, it's a favourite character vote...why shouldn't people vote their favourite character just because they are against someone in a show they don't watch?

Why even bother allowing people to nominate characters if they aren't going to be able to vote when the random generators pits them against someone unknown to them..

If a show has 8 or higher on imdb it is not considered terrible, and don't say 'nobody cares' as it averages each season above 7 million viewing figures, higher than many of these shows

Also over 8m people watched the last episode

..on reflection this is really unfair to Locke or anyone who runs these things..out of 100 songs/movies etc..I doubt many people if anyone would be familiar with them all..and whichever way you do it. it's never going to be completely 'fair' and there are always going to be some lesser watched series which are disadvantaged as has been said, but then if they're lesser watched then on TiBB they're not the favourite right at this moment and these polls/votes are about TiBB favourites only, it's not an official 'best' only a fun forum thing and doesn't change any official ratings of shows...it's equally not 'fair' not to be able to vote for characters because they happen to be against another one you don't know when you would have been able to vote for them against something else...it kind of makes it 'exclusive' to people who have watched them all and that would create an unfairness as well band very few votes...so whichever way you do it, it's not an accurate thing but just opinions on this forum...maybe it's up to the person running it to decide what they would rather have as they're the one putting the most effort and time in...

For this Round I used a Randomizer site to seperate the Top 40 characters into 20 groups of 2. Just choose which character you prefer out of every pair and the one that gets chosen most goes through to Round 3.
