Likability (rightly or wrongly) does play it's part on how severe the reaction will be on the same scenario.

And also Jade was changing relationships in the house where as Raph is Showmance free so far.

I know of Raph from being on here, nowhere near as well as other members, in the past I've disagreed with a lot of his posts, in the past I've agreed with a lot of his posts, but the housemate I'm seeing on the show is someone who is a decent person, if we shouldn't judge Tom on tweets from a year ago I don't see why we should judge Raph on mistakes made years ago when he was a teenager?

I'm happy that he's got to be on the show and has been able to achieve his dream, good on him for putting himself on a platform to be judged by the public who quite frankly can be absolute *****

How about judging Raph on what he does in the house by himself rather than on tasks about his personal life, or VT's?

I prefer to judge them in the house for how many weeks they'll be in there than some overproduced VT that every Housemates talks the big talk and then is nothing like that in the house 99% of the time.

Yep. All of a sudden VT's and what is said in them is the be all and end all when most HM's push a bit of controversy to get themselves in there.
I don't know who Raph is, I'm usually just here on - season and I can't remember ever coming across him so I'm unbiased. People can make mistakes and bad decisions and you can still find them likeable, people can be sensible and saintly and you can still dislike them. So far, I'm liking Raph. Currently in my Top 3.

I think that it's kind of a basic rule for all of the Housemates, unless they're a murderer or a rapist their personal lives shouldn't be coming into Big Brother, and I don't get the point on watching 8 to 9 weeks of this series if we're gonna judge someone purely off of their VT?

It's not personal lives as such. It"s their character? Of course their lives and who they are is all encompassing. I would've thought that was fairly obvious.

Also it's information raph has volunteered. I'd feel a lot differently if it was information from a trashy tabloid thrown in there to catch him off guard. That would be out of order.
