I dont agree with it being used by anyone, but I kind of understand why some people would be angry that its ok for a black person to use that word and not for a white person! to be honest i do not understand why people are complaining about BB's decision to remove emily, she is clearly racist, and its amazing how easy that word slipped of her lips
she says she uses that word alot where she comes from, but that is no excuse for using it to describe someone you barely know. I think BB made the right decision, if she had of stayed in who knows how many complaits there would have been
The people who are complaining are probably fans of Emily and probably belive that she was joking, the fact is that there are many other words you could use, but n***** is racist and should not be used as part of a joke, wheter you know the person or not

If charley is dumb enough to say "Im a N##er" whilest laughing in the house she shouldnt be surprised when someone refers to her in that way in future. how many black people are going to say "im a ni##a" in a house full of white people if their intention isnt just to start trouble?

I do agree with that, perhaps emily heard charley describing herself as a N***** and thought it ok to use that word, but Charley is allways looking for trouble
However that is no excuse for Emily to have used the word she did, no matter what context it was in

Im sorry but you've gotta be pretty ignorant to think it acceptable to call a black person a ******, whether they refer to themselves in that way or not. Everyone should know where it comes from and that it is a racist word, and the majority of ppl know that some black ppl use it among themselves.

And the only time I was aware of Charley calling herself that is after Emily said it. Does anyone actually know what was exactly said when Charley said it.

The ease of how Emily used that word is scary.

Emily said the (N) word & she did it in the way that she said that she did it. Nothing more, Nothing less. If you personally find it "Scary", it is okay for you to say that. But I wouldn't say it was much more than Emily described herself.

The vast majority of my friends are white and i have never been called n****** not even in jest.

That is fortunate in your own situation. Many people who are non-white are in a different position & do get called the (N) word & perhaps more or less.

Emily is not being taught by someone who knows what you are saying. She is on the BB8 show and has been ejected by using the (N0) word. Also, if the (N) word HAD been mentioned with the words, "What's up my (N)", BB would have ejected her and the media would have STILL reacted in the same way, regardless of your analysis

black people should make their minds up whether that word is acceptable or not because they are doing a hell of a job in trying to keep it alive,only black culture promotes its use.

I love conscious hip hop too, but i think u'll find artists such as kweli, do too use the word *****. Yet they do not use it for profit, so you shouldn't generalise in such a way as if only the likes of 50 cent and such "promote" the word. I think u'll also find that public enemy do to wear gold in their mouth.

Firstly, no one was debating whether it was right or wrong for JJ to say white trash.

Secondly, black ppl do not say it in a JOKEY way - it is a term of endearment for someone alike them - BLACK.
So why can't you do the same? because you're not alike them, you're not black, so the way in which you would say it would change the meaning round completely.

I was not being racist as it was said to a person who was the same race as me. If one of my friends would have said it, then it would have been racist. So, as it has been pointed out before, you can't be racist against your own ethnicity (hence why some black people are ok with calling each other *******).

However, I do believe on some occassions you can be racist to your own race, for example, some racists would not like my mum for marrying a black man and having children with him - although I am not sure if the correct term for it would be racism.
