The right wing wingers want Gay sacked for having a personal opinion away from his job, but I’m sure they’ll be ecstatic with wife of Tory donor Fiona Bruce defending the ex-prime ministers fathers abuse towards his wife, not bias here at all, nope, none whatsoever, definitely not

The question was about Johnson putting his Father forward for a Knighthood. So the discussion of was that right and should his Father have one should open up to both why he could and why he shouldn't. I think assaulting a spouse is a valid criticism to raise on that issue. Maybe the BBC then shouldn't have allowed the question at all but they did. The questions are selected before the programne is recorded after all. |

I think the complicating factor is that she hasn't spoken about it herself, it's only come via others who know them, and thus if they're seen to be reporting it as factual but they both deny it, it could be a bit of a minefield legally. They do have to be clear that it came from friends. I'm not sure why she had to add the "and it was a one off" part - who cares if it was once? Once is too many.
Of course he shouldn't be up for it if there's even a whiff of something like this around him. That said... it didn't stop them knighting Sean Connery and he was proudly announcing it. |

Gary Lineker is to step back from presenting Match of the Day until an agreement is reached on his social media use - BBC statement.
It follows an impartiality row over comments he made criticising the government's new asylum policy. Last edited by bots; 10-03-2023 at 04:42 PM. |

it's right and proper, he thought he could do or say anything with impunity, stating he would be presenting the show as usual ---- no you are not

‘The government are acting and talking like fascists’
‘No we’re not, stop saying that!!!’ *gets their friends and donors to punish a freelancer for having a negative opinion about their government*

You can guarantee that is he had agreed and tweeted ‘stop the boats’ the same people saying he should be sacked and the government would be calling him brave, there’d be clips all over right wing loser twitter hailing him a hero

Hasnt Lineker actually taken in migrants and given them a home. Of all people, he's got more right to talk on subject than most people

Also the BBC are cutting an episode of a David Attenborough series because it deals with ecological themes that upset right wingers.
Why are right wingers such complete snowflakes? |
