I've gotta order a new sofa too because the ones I have I sink into.

Plus I've got to have my carpets cleaned too. It's neverending
..crikey a busy time then Glenn and fitting it all around your job as well, you'll be too exhausted to put your Christmas Tree up lol...

If you don't have kids, you shouldn't have decorations. Simple rules.

..hah, you sound as though your tree drives you crazy and you like it just right...I take ages putting baubles etc on because I have hundreds that I collect from everywhere I go but it still looks thrown together in about 5 minutes..you would hate it lol...

.....it'll be like having a 'playful' tiger cub in the house lol...at least Christmas won't be boring..and remember cats are not for Christmas anyway, they're for life..of something like that...the thing is that if it was a dog/puppy, you could try to put the tree somewhere up high where they couldn't reach it but cats can get everywhere, can't they...do the children think he's funny when he's playful..?..oh, do the dogs get on with him ok...?...
The kids give out to me when I laugh at him breaking stuff Luke is funny, he's very protective of the dogs and he's not impressed by my apparent favouritism towards Sebastian lol

The dogs are fine with him, Curly the older, bigger dog I was a bit worried about cos he's very much a hunting kind of a dog, as in he likes to chase rabbits and rats and whatever else he comes across in the fields but he just ignores the cat and has done since he got here. The night before last he was lying down on the floor asleep and the cat went over to him and started to clean his tail He just carried on ignoring him though. The little dog Pips wants to play with him all the time and sometimes Sebastian plays back but pips gets a whack on the noes if she gets too close

Luckily I have a brother who can do most of it . He put up so e new coving last week where they had to rip it down. My other brother will be cleaning the carpet. We're going halves on the vax and he's doing his with it too. He likes cleaning carpets so he offered. I wasn't going to turn him down

The only thing I'll be doing is skirting boards m. My brothers painting for me I'm just paying him instead of a stranger.

...when the boys were small I always had two trees and one was an edible one..not the tree but the decorations...we'd make biscuits etc to go on it and I also bought the chocolate decorations...but they were only allowed to have them a few a day when we gave them to them so they didn't make themselves sick...one day I went to get one of the chocolates and it was just an empty wrapper but had been carefully made to look as though it still had chocolate in..then I picked another..and another..and they were mostly the same ..we also had small boxes of smarties hanging from it and most of those were empty as well..and we haven't even got a cat so I think it was the children lol.....little monkeys....

Hey gringo - not too bad. Fairly quiet, but I had roast lamb yesterday, so I'm making a home made doner kebab tonight for dinner with the meat.

She was fine, I think it helped her to spend some time with her grand dad too, she spent alot of time on her own with him over there going on walks and going shopping with him etc. Also, he gave her a few things belonging to her grand mother so that's nice for her

..aww it was nice having the things belonging to her gran, that would have really helped and spending time with him, not only helping her but feeling as though she wasn't 'helpless' by being there for him to talk to as well..I often think in that situation that grandchildren can be more what's needed emotionally while children help with practical things and arranging what needs to be done...

..yeah because they just ask things and are quite open about it whereas we sometimes wait for the bereaved person to talk, which isn't often the right thing..when my dad died I remember people avoiding talking about him, I guess because they didn't want to upset me and that was thoughtful but it felt like talking about him was the only way I could hold on to him and if I didn't then it was like he never existed, if that makes sense....
