Didn't hear until around half an hour ago that Alexander Frei left Basel to become sporting director of FC Lucerne (yes, left in mid season).

No idea why he would suddenly leave when he could of won a Europa League to sign off with. Nor why Basel let him.

Basel also have a Fabian Frei but he's no relation, used to love Alexander Frei, always signed him for my mid table mediocre West Ham team on FM

Legend for Basel. Has something like 32 goals in 63 European games. Had a great record at international level before retiring thanks to the dumb press.

Press in France reckon that Carlo Ancelotti has told the Paris St Germain owners he wants to leave, he is linked with Real Madrid because apparently PSG want Jose Mourinho to manage them now.
