Scotland lifting all its restrictions Monday now that the pandemic is moving into its endemic state in UK and that omicron has peaked and they realised they over-reacted to poor data as per normal in case they got the blame for anything

Default Coronavirus Outbreak

Soooooo ..... I've been feeling poorly throughout the night and just tested POSITIVE !!

Started with a sore throat and a headache yesterday and a bit of an annoying , throat clearing cough . The headache is a little better but now I've got a sore chesty cough , sore eyelids and feel proper rough .

I'm already experiencing worse symptoms than the wife has had - I expected to get a similarly easy ride if I got it .

Anyways I've just taken some paracetamol and I'm gonna try and sleep my way through this

Dammit !!!!!

How's Covid going? Is it still a thing?

Is it getting quieter or have I just not been interested in it lately? I can't tell.

Drink lots of tea. That's the most important thing (at least 6 or 7 cups a day)

Chicken soup, Lemsip, Vix vapor rub, paracetamol and a packet of Lockets and you'll be fine in four to five days (that's less than a week)

I'm no trained doctor, I'm just talking from experience from when I've had man flu.

My sister tested positive on Sunday so we’re all isolating just incase.

We’re all negative so far (daily testing) and thankfully she’s just as though she’s got a slight cold so.

Also, my gosh, everyone needs to stop regarding Dr John Campbell as the full stop on Covid.

His videos are good, he does a great job of explaining the science and stats in a simple form, and breaking down the complexities of the situation to make it accessible to a broad audience. There's no denying that.

He is NOT however the Gospel of Truth when it comes to Covid19. He's just putting the science in simpler English for people who are struggling to understand it.

No he only explains the science and unlike for example Sage he welcomes the scientific community to analyze all he says and challenge and or corrects and he will then discuss that on his next talk

Exactly. He gives his take on the data that is available to everyone. I don't think he claims anything else but his videos are being linked to as "The Facts" when they in reality are just his musings and interpretations. Non-expert ones too just like the rest of us - yes he is a doctor, but he's neither a virologist nor an epidemiologist.

What's posted isn't the problem, posting it as facts/conclusions is the problem. I won't be doing that with any info and I'm saying that everyone should take it with a large pinch of salt when anyone else does.

When you post a youtube video daily to millions of people and the scientific community then we shall see..
