Sad about Hershel's death! He was a great 'mentor' character but it will be interesting to see how the characters and show develop without the Hershel/Dale responsibilty and guide.

Cant wait til Feb, love the fact the group has been split into sub-groups. Carol is sure to bump into one of them - good call with Tyreese, Jesus. I reckon that girl who ran off into the woods grabbed the baby. No doubt another death will come off the back of this whatever the case.

Fantastic ep though, brilliant action executed so good!!! I do reckon Glenn should be a surprise casualty (through illness) on the bus at the start of the next season, he is utterly pointless now and I think his death will add more to the show than his current presence.

Also loved the appearance of the Irish girl/zombie at the end. I knew it was coming

I actually there might be a chance that they were going to share the prison when Rick was giving his whole speech. Glad something happened though and I'm just sad it had to start with Hershel The scene where the Gov has just killed him and his body/severed head are out of focus was really sad. I really wanted the lesbian couple to last too.

I saw the Irish girl when they focused on her, I just didn't know she was the Irish girl I thought she might have been the hippie girl with the hurt leg.

I thought it was a mediocre episode, I'd have probably rated it higher if it hadn't

made the episodes prior to it pointless. What's the point in giving the Governer two episodes of character development if they're just gonna revert him back to old habits for no reason or rhyme? I'm glad they killed him off though.

Hershel dying felt cheap, it was simply done for shock value and nothing else which is pitiful writing. I also hate how everyone keeps going along with Rick's bad decisions, Daryl just accepting that Rick exiled Carole wasn't true to his character at all. I'm going to give this series until the end of this season and if it doesn't improve I won't bother watching it anymore. The writing is just terrible.

I'm hopeful now that the Prison has been destroyed and the Governer is dead that the writers can get their **** together and focus on making Rick likable, If they can make Carl likable they can do the same for Rick. They should keep both groups on the road for the rest of the season, whenever they find a new safe haven the series becomes repetitive and dull.

I agree about the past two episodes but I think Hershals dead was good for the whole war to just break out. Something had to happen to basically disturb the peace and what better than to kill off the dad of the group, the one person who has managed to talk sense and calm everybody in the past

What is " true " to Daryl's character though? he has always stuck by Rick ever since Season 1 where he took a back seat and let Rick be the leader.. he only really had a connection in Season 2 when Sophia went missing and he went looking for her

even though i liked The Gov's character i am happy with the way it ended and he didn't end up having remorse and teaming up with Rick because that has never been his intention, the main goal of his character was him being a sole leader/King like the chess scene suggested. his character was hard to be likeable because he was so brutal and was no holds barred with is what every great Villain is.

All in all it was a pretty good episode I suppose but some parts pissed me off, some of them were shooting at no one at all for a start also I hate the way we are left guessing about so much but then I guess that's a good thing for the show because everyone will tune back in after the break, where did gov's gf's sister go? Is Glenn on the bus with a load of randoms? Did Michonne go off on her own?

I almost had a heart attack when the walker came really close to Daryl and the scene cut away to something else, if they end up killing him off I will stop watching, him and Hershell are/were the only 2 I really like atm.
