Just woke up with a scratchy throat, thought I was getting better yesterday. Baby is very upset trying to breathe with his dummy with a blocked nose.

…sometimes, massaging and soothing around their nose/nasal area can help and might distract and soothe him from not having his dummy and make breathing easier …I don’t know if he would respond to that …

That's exactly what I did when I was feeding him and it helped a bit

…yeah, it’ll help him to focus on you and the soothing motions on his face/around his nose and hopefully distract him from the dummy for at least a short while to get a little sleep…I hope that your able to get some rest as well, Jess…

If you are having a hot shower, take him in the bathroom with you, the shower steam will also help with his breathing
Hope you both feel better soon

I'm totally fine except for a bit of a cough. So annoying.

I'm still feeling really bad, I do think it's covid, though I don't really have time to dwell on it

Last two colds I had significant breathing issues, but the symptoms were similar to that of hub's (just less severe with the breathing)... so I can see some of the bugs that have been going around mimicking COVID. FWIW, I've never tested positive for COVID but I don't get sick often. Anyway, I have an inhaler now because I have seasonal asthma now apparently Maybe I'm just old...

If only. They're still inflated in price here but I think it's because people don't test unless they feel they have to, plus it's backed by our insurance usually, so the company can put any price on it for OTC (over the counter)...

Is a fever one of the main symptoms now ?

I didn’t have any fevers when I had Covid twice previously
