Ordered 60 toilet paper rolls on Amazon.

Supermarkets have cast doubts on an assurance from the health secretary that food supplies would not be disrupted by the coronavirus outbreak.

On Thursday, Matt Hancock said: "We are working with the supermarkets to make sure that, if people are self-isolating, then we will be able to get the food and supplies that they need."

But supermarket sources said they had not discussed getting food to homes.

One executive said he was "baffled" by the suggestions.

An executive told BBC business editor Simon Jack: "Matt Hancock has totally made up what he said about working with supermarkets. We haven't heard anything from government directly."

He added that sales of cupboard basics such as pasta and tinned goods have "gone through the roof".

I was listening to a guy on the radio who made a great point about them all ****ing off to Europe to discuss the virus, in this day and age of technology where they could all video conference and they telling everyone else not to travel unless it's necessary

Just came back from Lidl. It was very busy, as I expected. They almost ran out of pasta! Managed to get some spaghetti.

If, and that's a big if, it comes to food shortages it may be non-essentials and treats that run out rather than staples.
The plan is to reduce range of products and produce staples only.

Doubt it comes to that. It's already fizzling out in China.

Is there only me that's not interested in all this virus rubbish?

Wouldn't surprise me if it was one big hoax.

I've noticed there was almost no pasta, no toilet paper and no soap products.
People are definitely panic buying

Is that correct about China ?

Only today they’re suggesting that the BEST case scenario is that it dwindles out here , around Autumn !!

I went to my local Sainsbury's yesterday and there was not one pack of toilet rolls available. Not because there's a shortage, but because people are a bit silly.
