Anyone over 18 in an area where the Indian variant is surging can get the jab

I think its right to continue down through the ages in other areas as its more organised, and it is only days before the next cohort will be called

I've had very, very minor side effects - had mine about half 5 yesterday and this morning I felt quite "rough", like shivery and achy for about 4 hours but it seems to have gone now, feel fine again besides a dead arm.

Yeah my mom was like that after hers and so was Gavin's sister, his dad just had a sore arm

It’s odd that more men apparently get seriously ill or die than women yet women apparently are more likely to have a poor reaction to the vaccines ..

Maybe women have a better immune system so they are more resistant to catching the illness and their immune system would then react more to the vaccine ?

Over 18s can now register for their jabs in NI

73% of adults in UK first jabbed

45% both jabs

They have really closed the gap in second jabs, that was running at 20% 4 weeks ago

I've been trying to book an appointment now that over-30's can do so but it's been a nightmare, every place that pops up either fills up immediately or is entirely unrealistic travel-wise. I just have to keep checking the website hoping to get lucky.

I read on the Spanish forums yesterday that anyone under 60 who has had AZ as first dose can choose a different vaccine for second dose.. is there any data on doing that yet?

Also no vaccine if you had covid in the last 6 months

Wouldn’t want to be living in Spain in these times

they have set up a study and have a group of volunteers to study mixing vaccines in the uk.

I know someone that had an allergic reaction to the pfizer vaccine and they were told that the 2nd dose would probably be AZ instead

its very recent though isn't it, and there is no data yet, I can understand offering someone who had a reaction an alternative, but whole swathes of the population given the personal choice seems a bit rash to me anyway

I think the likelihood if you didn't have any rare side affects after the first one, having any after the second must be quite low?

Hopefully you should get a text notification about booking an appointment at your nearest health centre, that's what happened with me.

If not then maybe try asking your GP ? .

You could wait for your gp to call you, but it might take longer.
Booking online is so much faster.

the local gp hubs are pretty useless, so the best thing to do is book at a vaccination centre if there is one within travel distance.

It may be booked up initially, but the rate they are going at, it doesn't take long to clear any backlog, so keep trying would me my advice
