Is Adele as popular across Europe as she is in US/UK?

I suppose they'd all see it as career suicide though.

Scooch were good fun, quite like Daz Sampson as well. At least they were consciously quite piss taking entrants compared to seeing ageing stars like the Hump and Bonnie which was just quite sad

I don't mean to be funny, but why are people shocked that europe is so accepting of a drag queen..given that (at least in this country..sure its the same elsewhere) the majorty of viewers are actually gay and its pretty much always been known as the campest show about? :S

Tatu were still kinda big when they did Eurovision so I don't think the fame side of it matters.

I don't think people are shocked. More mocking the novelty.

And the fake sincerity is what I didn't like. The crying, "acceptance" etc. As you say Eurovision is gay friendly anyway.

I feel the same, Dana International won so we already knew Europe were pretty open to the transgender community.

I actually applaud the fact that this year 2 countries like Austria and Ntehrlands took the top 2 places.

I actually liked Austria's song and the performance was really good too,I was over the moon at the Netherlands doing so well too.

Really good show in my view and a pretty high standard too for Eurovision.

Cascada sort of peaked about 5/10 years ago though, her latest big hit was probably Evacuate the Dancefloor and even that was about 4 years ago at the time and seemed like their biggest song in years since Everytime We Touch and Miracle

Or am I forgetting stuff

Yup. 21 got to number one in 17 countries that would be eligible for Eurovision.

they were in the charts in Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland the year before they entered, so idk

and I can't tell who voted Austria yet because the wikipedia page has messed up
