Celebrity Big Brother's upward spiral in the ratings extended to yesterday's (August 22) live eviction show, the latest overnight data indicates.

Jasmine Lennard's eviction was seen by 2.14m (10%) in the 9pm hour, and a further 111k (0.7%) on Channel 5 +1.

This comes despite a weak inheritance of just 653k (3.3%) from new business series Secret Interview, which aired between 8pm and 9pm. The reality show has risen consistently since Monday night (August 20).

Live from the House followed with 1.29m (10.1%) between 10.30pm and 11.30pm, after which Emma Willis's Bit on the Side further whetted the appetites of 627k (9.4%) Big Brother hardcores

Eviction rating is dodgy. With +1 it will be 2m+, but Thursday got 2.03m excl +1 at 10pm so that's a weird drop.

Harder competition for the target audience (Mrs Browns Boys maybe?). Surprised it didn't reach it. Tonight will be around 1.5m (being a Saturday) and Sunday should be back to around 2.1m incl +1.

Very strong rating for BOTS though.

Anyway, that figure would've been knocked down by Lavish period.
